Bluffton and Hilton Head are connected by US-278, a 20-minute drive. Stay in Bluffton for lower prices and more character; day-trip to Hilton Head for beaches and resort amenities.

Hilton Head's 12 miles of wide, flat beaches are among the best on the East Coast. Coligny Beach Park is the most accessible public beach, with parking, restaurants, and facilities.

Bluffton for Dining

Bluffton's independent restaurant scene is widely considered superior to Hilton Head's for authentic Lowcountry cuisine. Many Hilton Head visitors drive to Bluffton specifically for dinner.

The Bluffton/Hilton Head corridor has over 30 golf courses. Bluffton offers more accessible public courses; Hilton Head has the famous resort courses like Harbour Town Golf Links.
